All trade figures use one immutable published release. Each product states its own month and flow; coverage can differ. The latest observation date is not a claim that every product has reached that month. Year-on-year change compares the same month, flow and USD basis in the previous year. Missing or zero comparison values produce no percentage.
Data tables, chart CSVs, partner previews and signals refresh together when a promoted trade release triggers the site rebuild. Analysis articles retain their own edition dates and interpretation. A data refresh does not automatically rewrite policy or industry explanations.
Trade value is not production, installed capacity, global market share or physical volume. Quantity or unit-value analysis requires consistent units and classifications. Use the HS trade data guide and customs source guide for coverage and interpretation.

These datasets measure their stated production or sales indicators; they are separate from customs trade.
Open the BEV or PHEV commodity page for the relevant export flow, then inspect its destination-country breakdown. This measures China-reported customs exports, not registrations or the importing country’s statistics.
No. NEV industry statistics can include different vehicle types and manufacturer reporting conventions. Customs headings distinguish propulsion and vehicle use. Keep reported units, HS definitions and periods aligned.
The published lithium-ion accumulator line does not isolate those end uses. A battery value in dollars cannot be converted to GWh without a separate, compatible physical-capacity source.
The PV module ranking compares the latest month with the same month one year earlier using complete partner-month records from one release. Both observations must exist, and the prior-year monthly value must be at least USD 100,000. Missing observations are not assumed to be zero.
Not necessarily. Shipment quantities, prices and product mix can move differently. Capacity, cell counts, module counts and customs USD values are separate measures.
